MEETING PURPOSE: Discuss logistics and mechanisms for selection and implementation of Standard model interface kits and Standard Compact Models. Use member company resources and existing capabilities to leverage the activity. EXPECTED OUTCOME: Working document to initiate projects and to deliver universal compact models and test methods in a timely manner to members and suppliers. Presentation of the Motorola API kit 2.) Flexibility of the API kit(s) - Platform, compiler compatibility 3.) Ease of usage of the specification 4.) How to implement the specification in a SPICE-like simulator 5.) What are the speed limitations? 6.) Are separate BJT and MOS kits needed? 7.) Are both DC and AC covered? 8.) Who will own the standard model interface? 9.) Which standards organization should we align with? 10.) How will updates/modifications be handled? The Afternoon Session will focus on the following issues: 1.) Document the procedure for evaluating models. 2.) Determine who will do the testing and how much it would cost. 3.) Document the current models that are available for consideration. 4.) Choose a "first candidate" for the evaluation process. 5.) Determine how long the evaluation will take. 6.) Ownership of the model. 7.) Identify test cases for verification of performance. 8.) Determine where to publish the results. 9.) Who will handle updates/revisions of the model? 10.) Which standards organization should we align with? Hope to see all of you for the follow-on meeting. Following the meeting at TI we will work on schedule for the next meeting.
